Tribal Soul Backflow Incense Cones - White Sage & Palo Santo
For hundreds of years, White Sage (Salvia apiana) has been considered a sacred, purifying plant. Native Americans started the tradition of burning its dry bundled leaves during their purification ceremonies and healing sessions to cleanse a space or a person of evil spirits or negative energies.
Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens) means "Holy Wood", and is a tree that grows in the Amazon rainforests of Ecuador and Peru. It belongs to the same family as Copal, Myrrh and Frankincense.
Its wood, leaves and oil have been used for thousands of years by indigenous Shamans to heal the body and soul, purify spaces, clear negative energies and to prepare for meditation. Palo Santo has a sweet, balsamic and herbal scent, wonderfully calming and soothing, which carries a powerful energy of healing and purification.
The combination of the earthy aroma of White Sage with the soothing balsamic scent of Palo Santo provides the perfect environment for meditation.
Traditionally used in prayer and as an offering in protection rituals, Myrrh is well known for its purifying properties, for cleansing the soul and clearing the mind. Myrrh resin has a warm, spicy balsamic scent that favours meditation and spiritually uplifting.
Backflow incense cones differ from standard cones as they are semi-hollow with an open hole at the base, and are designed to be used with special burners which have a hole or design that pulls the smoke downward and allows it to fall in a flow, creating a stunning visual effect as it cascades over or through the burner.
These backflow cones are around 42mm in height - substantially taller than most backflow cones. Each pack contains a pouch of TEN cones, embellished with a feather.
This stunning range of handmade incense combines the idea of incense sticks or cones with ingredients commonly used in smudging, creating beautifully earthy scents perfect for meditation, yoga, rituals or everyday burning.
